The Longsword is the most widely studied weapon in the Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), and also the most popular competitive format. However, many practitioners step onto the tournament arena without a clear plan—mind going blank, struggling to apply learned techniques, and often finding the match over before they even realize what happened.

In this workshop, Logan Raymond, Level 1 instructor of the Blood and Iron Louisiana, will guide participants through a step-by-step analysis of how to choose effective strategies and techniques. The goal is to help fighters take control in high-intensity situations and outmaneuver their opponents with confidence and adaptability.
