Unlike the common misconceptions shaped by popular culture, using concealed weapons such as shuriken is, in fact, a highly tactical support technique. Through surprise attacks and simple methods that make them difficult to defend against, they are used to create advantages and secure victory in combat.
This workshop will cover a brief history of shuriken-jutsu, the design logic behind the tools, and basic application demonstrations. Participants will then use safe practice tools to experience hands-on operation and tactical thinking, gaining a direct sense of how such weapons can function in real combat scenarios.
Erebus
Erebus is an instructor specializing in unarmed combat and shurikenjutsu. With a foundation in Shaolin martial arts, he draws from a wide range of systems and disciplines, placing emphasis not on style or tradition, but on the science and refinement of integrated body mechanics.
Over the years, Erebus has adopted a philosophy of open exchange and rational discussion, collaborating with martial arts groups and teaching events across various regions. He runs the YouTube channel 「巴士道」, which aims to demystify martial arts and present them in a rational, accessible way for those outside the community. His teaching focuses on situational application and the thought processes behind techniques, providing a clear path for students seeking both practicality and depth. Though his tone may be humorous, his passion and rigor in martial research are unwavering.
