Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) is an endeavor started in the 20th century in the US and Europe, its aim is to reconstruct European martial arts that has its lineage broken through the interpretation of period manuscripts. In Asia, more and more people are joining the movement, either based on the fascination with a foreign culture, or through a passion for martial arts.  A HEMA event for Asia – Clash of Steel. We invite everyone to join us.

Workshop and lecture

Over the course of two days, we have arranged a variety of activities including static lectures and workshops. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience firsthand how ‘reconstructing martial arts from manuscripts’ could work by absorbing the practical experiences shared by various instructors and approaching the concept of reconstruction from different perspectives, participants will delve deeper into the techniques and principles involved in restoration. Simultaneously, we’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted nature of Historical European Martial Arts, appreciating its blend of culture and combat. This experience will undoubtedly broaden our horizons, leaving us in awe of the richness of this world.
